  • Lecturer and supervisor of graduate courses in the fields of electrical engineering and information technology such as "Advanced Algorithms for Smart Antenna Systems (multi-antenna systems, adaptive beamforming, and array signal processing techniques), Information Theory I & II, MIMO Communication Systems and Space Time Coding.

  •  Supervising PhD, MSc, and BSc theses and projects in order to develop and propose advanced and new techniques in the area of modern wireless communication systems and digital & statistical signal processing such as LTE and LTE-A, multi-antenna systems, MIMO detectors in LTE, MIMO channel estimation in LTE, channel coding and modulation techniques, baseband communications, multi-carrier transmission, multi-user and multi-carrier wireless communication systems (3G-4G), convex optimization algorithms for signal processing communications.

  • Working in Developing advanced and novel DSP algorithms under projects supported by the LOEWE Priority Program Cocoon, the European Research Council (ERC), DFG, DAAD, WWTF, CROWN in the fields of multi-antenna systems, MIMO detectors in LTE, MIMO channel estimation in LTE, channel coding and modulation techniques, baseband communications, multi-carrier transmission (OFDM), modeling of wireless channel characteristics, adaptive beamforming, sensor array processing, transceiver design, co-operative communications in relay networks, space-time block and trellis coding, multi-user and multi-carrier wireless communication systems (3G-4G), differential and blind multi-antenna techniques, convex optimization algorithms for signal processing communications, channel equalization, and other kinds of distortion and interference mitigation.

  • Working with companies, such as  mimoOn GmbH, Duisburg (http://www.mimoon.de) to propose advanced physical layer digital and statistical signal processing codes, prototypes, and algorithms with floating and fixed-point implementations  to be used in current LTE/LTE-A systems.

  • Attending and organizing academic conferences.

  • Reviewing IEEE journal and conference papers.
