Second: Contribution to Strengthening Relationships with Universities and Industry:

Memorandum of Understanding with Aeon Company: After numerous meetings with Aeon Company members, a memorandum of understanding was signed, securing financial support for scientific research to manufacture a medical device.
Nursing College: Active participation in establishing a nursing program, developing the nursing plan, founding the nursing department and college, appointing staff, and connecting the program with Jordanian and German industries, hospitals, and universities. For this active contribution, a certificate of appreciation was received from the university president.
Obtained a medical device as a donation from Arab Medical Laboratories worth 15,000 JD after numerous meetings.
Memorandum of Understanding with Istishari (Consultation) Hospital in Jordan: After several meetings with the hospital management, a memorandum of understanding was signed to provide training for nursing students in Jordanian hospitals, enhancing cooperation in dual studies and employment areas.
Participated in numerous meetings in collaboration with the Deanship of Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship to connect the university with the industry, such as meetings with SAGER Drones Company, participation in the GJU Incubation Program, and involvement in dual studies.
Conducted several meetings with the Vice President of the University of Jordan (Dr. Falah Al-Swaireh) in the presence of Dr. Rami Al-Azraei, Dean of Research at the German Jordanian University, to strengthen cooperation in scientific research areas and establish joint programs such as the midwifery program and international classifications.
Memorandum of Understanding with Specialty Hospital in Jordan: After multiple meetings with the hospital management, a memorandum of understanding was signed to provide training for nursing students in Jordanian hospitals, elevating cooperation in dual studies and employment areas.
Memorandum of Understanding with the Jordanian Nursing Council: After several meetings with the council management, a memorandum of understanding was signed to use the council's nursing labs for nursing students until labs are established for the nursing college, and to ensure training for nursing students in Jordanian hospitals, raising cooperation in dual studies and employment areas.
Conducted several meetings with the President of Al-Ahliyya University (Dr. Sari Hamdan) and the Vice President (Dr. Anas Al-Saud) in the presence of Dr. Rami Al-Azraei, Dean of Research at the German Jordanian University, to strengthen cooperation in scientific research, cultural exchange, and international classifications.
Memorandum of Understanding with the American Lebanese University (ALU) in Lebanon: After several meetings with members of the American Lebanese University, a memorandum of understanding was signed to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, research, scientific research, and cultural exchange.
Memorandum of Understanding with Jordan Hospital and Royal Hospital in Jordan: After several meetings with them, memoranda of understanding were signed to secure training for nursing students in Jordanian hospitals and enhance cooperation in dual studies and employment.
Held several dialogues with the Vice President of Jadara University (Dr. Iman Bshtawi) to enhance cooperation in scientific research, cultural exchange, and international classifications.
Member in the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institute for accrediting the Biomedical Engineering programs within the national framework of qualifications for all universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Member in the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institute for accrediting the Industrial Engineering program within the national framework of qualifications for all universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Third: Contribution to Strengthening Relationships with Universities and Industry Internationally, including Germany:

Nursing College: Active participation in connecting the program with German industries, hospitals, and universities. For this active contribution, a certificate of appreciation was received from the university president.
Memorandum of Understanding with the Lebanese German University (LGU) in Lebanon: After numerous meetings with members of the Lebanese German University, a memorandum of understanding was signed to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, research, scientific research, and cultural exchange.
Memorandum of Understanding with the German Triple-Win Program: After numerous meetings with the German side, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Triple-Win program in collaboration with GLZ organization to train and employ nursing students after graduation in the German healthcare sector.
Memorandum of Understanding with the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Lebanon: After numerous meetings with members of the Lebanese American University, a memorandum of understanding was signed to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, research, scientific research, and cultural exchange.
Conducted several meetings, both face-to-face and remote, in collaboration with Prof. Reiner Finkeldey, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, and Prof. Michaela Brause from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences Hochschule Bielefeld to secure German universities for nursing students to study elective courses in Germany and provide training for nursing students in German hospitals.
Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Kassel in Germany: After numerous meetings with members of the University of Kassel, a memorandum of understanding was signed to enhance cooperation in the fields of education, research, scientific research, and cultural exchange with the German side, improving cooperation between the two universities regarding the Germany Year.
Memorandum of Understanding with Fulda University: Conducted several face-to-face and remote meetings in collaboration with Prof. Reiner Finkeldey, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, and the President of Fulda University of Applied Sciences and deans of four medical colleges from Fulda University in Germany to secure German universities for nursing students to study elective courses and provide training for nursing students in German hospitals. The meetings resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
Organized and facilitated a workshop with professors from Chemnitz University of Technology (TU Chemnitz) and Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig), along with their students, in the presence of the Dean, Vice Dean, department heads, and several members of the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
Conducted several meetings in collaboration with Prof. Reiner Finkeldey and Prof. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, as well as with Dr. Christoph Stellbrink to secure training for nursing students in German hospitals.
Held several meetings to make members of the German University part of the Reach4Health organization affiliated with the Sustainability Center at Columbia University in the United States. The organization focuses on refugees in Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine, and has obtained membership in the organization [https://reach-health.com/about].
Memoranda of Understanding with Regensburg University: Conducted several face-to-face and remote meetings in collaboration with Prof. Reiner Finkeldey and Prof. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, as well as with several professors from Regensburg University in Germany, such as Philipp Andersson, Dorothea Thieme, and Barbara Fillenberg, to secure German universities for nursing students to study elective courses and provide training for nursing students in German hospitals. The meetings resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
Conducted several meetings with Prof. Josef Börcsök from the University of Kassel in Germany, with the assistance of the College Dean Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh and Vice President Dr. Reiner Finkeldey, to strengthen cooperation between the Biomedical Engineering Department at the German Jordanian University and the German side, resulting in the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
Conducted a large number of meetings to secure training for nursing students in the hospitals of the city of Bielefeld in Germany at klinikum-bielefeld.

Fourth: Contribution to University and Community Service through Activities, Projects, or Events:

I have prepared, organized, and managed the following activities, workshops, and events during the past year and a half:

Collaborated with the Civil Service Bureau, the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in writing the comprehensive exam for Biomedical Engineering during the academic year 2022/2023.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop to establish a nursing program, with the participation of numerous deans from nursing colleges in Jordan, as well as representatives from various Jordanian private and government hospitals and some German entities. The proposed curriculum and establishment files were explained to receive valuable feedback from the participants.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop at the German Jordanian University in collaboration with professors from Chemnitz University of Technology (TU Chemnitz) and Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig), along with their students. The workshop was attended by the Dean, Vice Dean, department heads, and several members of the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop to accredit academic programs nationally through the national qualification framework, in coordination with Dr. Iyad Khader, the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, for most colleges at the university on December 13, 2023.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop to accredit academic programs nationally through the national qualification framework, in coordination with all deans from all colleges at the university on October 19, 2023.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop to accredit academic programs nationally through the national qualification framework, in coordination with the Dean of the College of Medical Sciences on September 24, 2023.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop to accredit academic programs nationally through the national qualification framework, in coordination with the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture on November 23, 2023.
Prepared, organized, and managed a workshop to train all new faculty members on using e-learning platforms, held for two days on October 1-2, 2023, at the beginning of the academic year 2022/2023.
Prepared study-plans for two new tracks in Biomedical Engineering and obtained their approval from the department and college councils, the Plans Committee, and the Deans Council.
Departmental Coordinator for Dual Studies in addition to preparing and developing the dual studies plan for the Biomedical Engineering specialization and having them approved by the department and faculty councils, the planning committee, and the deans' council (during the academic year 2022/2023).
Prepared the study-plan for the nursing program, the establishment file for the nursing program, and the nursing college, obtaining their approval from the study-plan committee and the Deans Council.
Conducted a workshop for the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in collaboration with most of the colleges and departments at the university.

Participation (Assigned by the President) in a workshop to design the culture of the German Jordanian University, with preparation and supervision by Dr. Abdulrahman Zureik, on February 23, 2023.

Technical Expertise

During the past years, he possesses a very strong research profile during the past years where he is publishing three to four journal papers yearly in very prestigious international journals with Q1/Q2 rank based on the following impact factors: JCR/ Scimago/Scopus. He is now an IEEE senior member and the head of the research committee as well as the head of one research group, i.e., the communication systems group. He has obtained several awards from IEE, IEEE, DAAD, DFG… etc such as the best paper award from IEEE WSA. My researches have been supported by several grants and funds from EU and German companies and research organization such as LOEWE Priority Program Cocoon, the European Research Council (ERC), German Research Foundation (DFG), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Moreover, he organized and was invited to attend many conferences and workshops. Please find a list of my published papers below. In the last 20 years of his work experience, especially the last a few years while working at an American University in Kuwait, he has gained a strong knowledge and large experience in almost all fields related to academia. He served as a coordinator for almost all committees such as a coordinator for ABET committee, research committee, lab committee, curriculum development committee, exam committee, graduation project committee, focus groups committee, quality assurance committee, and many electrical engineering courses. Due to his hard work and dedication efforts for his contributions and achievements at the American university of the middle east (AUM) in getting the full ABET accreditation for 6 years without any concerns which improves its rank, he has received the Appreciation Certificate.

He has a very strong teaching profile during his work in the past years as an associate professor, junior professor, assistant professor, researcher, TA & lecturer in several universities in Germany & Middle East where he has taught more than 50 courses in electrical, electronic, communication, biomedical, and computer engineering as well as mathematics and physics, supervised tens of bachelor projects and tens of master theses, and helped in supervising PhD students

MIMO systems, MIMO detectors, massive MIMO systems, co-operative communications, relay networks, space-time block and trellis coding, differential and blind multi-antenna techniques, MIMO channel estimation, channel coding and modulation techniques, distributed communication systems, two-way relaying, baseband communications, 2G-3G-4G-5G mobile communication systems, multi-carrier transmission (OFDM), modeling of wireless channel characteristics, adaptive beamforming, sensor array processing, transceiver design, multi-user and multi-carrier wireless communication systems, convex optimization algorithms for signal processing communications, channel equalization, and other kinds of distortion and interference mitigation.

Statistical, Biomedical, and Digital Signal Processing

MIMO and multi-antenna communication systems (space-time block and trellis coding, beamforming, cooperative communications, distributed sensor networks, multicast and broadcast services in modern cellular networks), parameter estimation and detection, stochastic process, information theory, filter design, analyzing and processing the electromagnetic signals such as AM, FM, RF, microwave signals as well as audio, data, image, & speech processing.

Large knowledge and experience in developing, testing, programming, and simulating complex scientific algorithms, software, and codes using different programming languages and software like Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Assembly, Q-basic, MathCAD, Maple, Mathematica, Labview, MultiSIM, Workbench.

Teaching, Supervising, and Supporting Students and Engineers

Teaching more than 30 courses for graduate and under-graduate students in the fields of digital & wireless communication systems, digital and statistical signal processing, electrical, electronic and computer engineering, please see below the list of courses. Supervised PhD students and over 30 master theses and so many projects in modern digital & wireless communication systems, digital and statistical signal processing, audio, speech, data, and image signal processing, cryptography, electrical and electronic circuits, and networking. Supporting engineers either in-person or online by telephone or email to help for solving technical and engineering problems.

Technical Writing and Presentation Skills

Large experience in presentation and writing skills and large experience with creating professional reports, letters, and academic papers using professional programs such as Latex, Dia, xfig, inkscape, Microsoft office,... etc, under Linux or Windows environments.
